those are self-extracting files.

extract the files to the same directory. (by default, they do not do that).  or move the extracted files to the same directory.

click (or double click) on the setup file and use the serial number listed on the page where you downloaded those files.

I downloaded 3 files CreativeSuite CS2Disc1 - Disc 2- and Disc3. Do I just

start with disc1 and get prompted for the next disc?

I appreciate what you are saying however, I clicked setup on the file

called disc1 and it installed and then ask for disc 2 and would not work

with the file residing on the computer so I burned a disc for each file

that I downloaded CS2 disc1, CS2 disk2 and CS2 disc three. Again when disc1

was finished it asks for disk2. I insert disc two and click OK but it does

not resume installation it just keeps the pop up screen asking for disc2.

My only option on this pop up screen is OK or cancel install. I am

perplexed. The files were downloaded from Adobe via a link emailed to me

from Adobe and it is a series of the three separate files called

CreativeSuiteCS2Disc1.exe and the same for disc2 and then disc3.

Thanks for helping me; I am not inept at loading programs but this time it

is not going as instructed by Adobe download page. Please don't give up on

me as Adobe provides no help in this process as they don't support CS2 any

longer.

There was another file called VCS2.zip so I have downloaded that as

well. Will that help?

it doesn't sound like you are following directions.

you might be doing everything correctly and have some other problem, but first things first.  make sure you are following directions exactly and do not take any shortcuts.

1.  click CreativeSuiteCS2Disc1.exe

2.  click CreativeSuiteCS2Disc2.exe

3.  click CreativeSuiteCS2Disc3.exe

4. (make sure you've NOT clicked anything else.  in particular, you have NOT clicked setup, yet)

5. create a new directory

6. move all the files that extracted after step 1 to your new directory

7. move all the files that extracted after step 2 to your new directory

8. move all the files that extracted after step 3 to your new directory

9  you should have a number of files in the new directory. now click setup.exe in that new directory and behold..

p.s. vcs2 is a training video.  you don't need that to install cs2
