I have lost my serial number for InDesign CS5.5 and need it due to the need to reinstall windows.

    thanks for you suggestion. I have tried and am not having luck. The program retrieved the 24 digit number, but when I try to register it I am told "Please enter a valid serial number" I should include the dashes, correct? It is a version of Indesign CS 5.5. Is it maybe too outdated to register?

    no, don't enter hyphens, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-serial-number-valid-product.html

    and cs5.5 can still be activated with a valid serial number.
