you're trying to install some version of photoshop or photoshop elements?

if you dl's an exe and a 7z file, put both in the same diretory and click the exe.

otherwise, what program/what eversion and what files did you download?

By "in the same directory" do you mean file?  I have the two files on my desktop.

I saw elsewhere that I should delete from one of my computers before trying to install on the new one.  I am doing that now.

create a new desktop directory/folder and put the exe and 7z files in that new directory/folder.  click the exe.

p.s,. do not delete adobe programs. properly uninstall them using their uninstallers.

p.p.s, you are allowed two concurrent installations/activations.

Nothing seems to happen with the "exe" file when I click on it.  It circles for a second or two then nothing.   In desktop folder it shows an application not an exe file.  These "two" files came from Adobe's website from the photoshop cs6 English version.  I did uninstall CS6.

that 2nd file name is incorrect.  redownload.

if your browser is changing that file name or extension, use a different browser.

I downloaded the file again, with two different browsers and still get the same file:  Photoshop_13_LS16, a 1200KB file.  Why do you say that is an incorrect file?

i said the 2nd file name you listed in message 6 was incorrect, not the file name in message 8.

but if the file name message 8 is correct, both names in message 6 are incorrect.  or you just might have a typo for the first file name.

in any case, make sure both file names are exactly the same but have different (a 7z and an exe) extensions, put both in the same directory and then click the exe.

when you click the exe, the files in the 7z should extract and then setup will start.  you will be given the choice to install the trial or buy/activate.

choose to activate/buy and you will be prompted for your serial number.

if you've already installed the trial, open ps>click help>activate.
