Community Beginner ,
May 26, 2015 May 26, 2015

I just downloaded CC Installer.  I am trying to download Photoshop.  It looks like it gets all the way to the end of the %bar, then give me the message "Installation Failed - Unable to extract files. Press Retry to download the product again. (EX20).

I've Retried 3 times with the same result.  Any ideas?

I uninstalled everything, restarted my computer, reinstalled 7-zip, deleted temp files, (except for the ones it didnt let me) and still at about 7% it says the same thing!

Please check whether User Temp folder has Full Control permissions?

Enable Hidden files and folders view.

Navigate to C:> Users> " your user account name " > Appdata > Local>Temp.

Right click on Temp folder and select Properties option , then click on Security tab and check whether your User Account has Full Control Allowed for Temp folder ?

Example :

full-control-permissions.jpg

If not , provide Full control and then try to install CC app again .

or you may try from Hidden Admin account.

Steps :

Step 1)

Click on Start menu button and then in the search box type in as CMD.

In the search results list , locate the option Command Prompt.

Right click on Command Prompt option and then select " Run as Administrator"  .

Please make sure to follow above mentioned steps for permanent solution, so that you will not face any kinda issue while updating same App later on , or when you try to install other CC apps.

Below is the alternative temporary solution , which is direct download :

Adobe CC 2015 Direct Download Links: Creative Cloud 2015 Release | ProDesignTools

Important :

Download the required CC apps offline setup and then extract it and try to install , only if above mentioned steps does not work and don't forget to update the results here. Let us know if permissions fix worked or not .  so that we can proceed with further steps.

You may also post PDAPP log files contents here, just incase if you get error while installing apps from Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app.

You can locate PDAPP log inside Temp folder.

I am having this problem on the PC for Lightroom 2015 CC. Photoshop 2017 CC installed correctly and I am the administrator on my machine. I installed WinRar and restarted the machine/installer. Still running into the same problem. Is there a way for me to directly download the file and extract/install myself?
