it didn't work for me. I followed the instruction and dragged the install file in the terminal but when I hit enter it said that the installer file was already running and I needed to close it. I am bit lost here. Anyone can help? thanks

Install Adobe CS6 on MacOS Sierra.

To summarize:

0. Make sure you have the legacy java for MacOS installed, per stephaineg45449868: Download Java for OS X 2015-001

1. Open Adobe CS6 Design Standard in Finder

2. Right (control) click Installer.app > Show Package Contents

3. Open or show folder MacOS

4. Open Terminal

5. Drag and drop Install into the Terminal and hit Return in Terminal

Installation should start; you'll need your Adobe login, password, and serial number.

In addition to the Terminal workaround described, there is a Java update that is also required. The link is: Download Java for OS X 2015-001

I just tried to do download Captivate for Mac running OS Sierra and received the same message. Is this still an issue on new operating systems?
