Missing Adobe PCD and SLstore folders for Adobe Illustrator in Win7

I can't open my Adobe Illustrator and it says: Error 16.

Configuration-error. I only find the SLstore folders for Adobe PS,

but not for Illustrator CS6 ( 64bit). And the Adobe PCD is not there at all.

My system: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1

I read somewere that you can also place a slstore folder in the right location.

Is that true?

Benjamin1964 the SLCache and SLStore folders should be able to create themselves. Error 16 indicates there is a file permission error preventing the creation of the folders. You can find more details on how to correct this at Configuration error 16 | CC, CS.

I have been into that. I've checked the files and the relevant permissions are as stated.

Adrianb89419726 this discussion is from 2014 but the solution is still valid. If you are unable to correct the relevant file permissions then your last chance to correct the error will be to create a newly created local administrator account. Which operating system are you encounter Error 16 on Adrianb89419726? In addition which Adobe software title are you using?
