I lost my CD, but still have my CD number.
Any link I found on the web is redirecting to an Acrobat X pro trial.
There was no Acrobat Standard trial. Pro only. Standard or Pro is licensed via your serial number.
Download the Acrobat 9 Pro trial from:
http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html
Ensure that you follow the Very Important Instructions on that page first otherwise the links will not work.
Enter your Standard serial number and Acrobat 9 Standard will be licensed on your computer.

John, I was able to download,
but this does not look as a genuine installer.
It is not signed, and it says NOSSO at the bottom, which I never saw
before on an Adobe product.

It's genuine.
It's the same link that forum regulars and Adobe staff in these forums give out every time this question comes up: hundreds of the same question here in recent months.
The links at prodesigntools point to files stored on Adobe servers and do not use the Adobe Downland Manager which may account for any slight differences you're seeing.

John is correct the download actually comes from our server. Perhaps the direct download you initiated got corrupted?
I am unsure btw if this download will work for Acrobat 9 Standard. I believe there was a separate installer for Acrobat 9 Standard. Unfortunately if you no longer have acecss to your installation media I am unsure of any sources where you can obtain a copy of the installation files.

I wasn't aware of that. Kinda leaves the Standard version customers out in the cold?

Clearly that is an unacceptable position for Adobe to leave their paid customers in should a separate Standard version installer exist.
Adobe must have the installer file available somewhere in house.

John I will go ahead and test installing the Acrobat 9 Pro installer with a standard serial number on a virtual machine and report back to this thread.

I have verified that the installer for Acrobat 9 under http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html for Windows English did not work with the Acrobat 9 serial number. I remeber this was a common issue with the Acrobat installers being very specific regarding the serial numbers they accepted.
ALTHEBRACK I looked up the account information from your profile but it appears you only have Acrobat 8 Professional registered. Please feel free to e-mail me at <E-mail address removed>. If you can please include your Acrobat 9 Standard serial number and reference this thread it would be appreciated.

This question will inevitably arise again.
Any chance of a link being provided to Acrobat Standard installers so that we can direct future forum participants to the correct location for their version?

Great point John. I think the main problem is that there never was an Acrobat 9 Standard trial version available. Thus the only option for people to still download is if the software is available under their account.
Since ALTHEBRACK's software isn't registered under their account that would indicate they purchased a physical version of the software. Unless a download version is available under another account.

Seems odd that we can direct people to download almost all Adobe software titles back to CS2 - unless they're looking for Acrobat Standard in which case they're out of luck if they've lost the original media.
As I mentioned before, the Acrobat Standard installers must be available on Adobe systems somewhere. Can they not be made publically available to anyone who has a genuine serial number?
There are so many twist and turns and gotchas with downloading previously purchased Adobe software titles.

The software which is available for general download is all trial versions of the software. If a user ends up purchasing the download option it is often times possible to re-enable their download depending on how old the software is. It is when a user has purchased the physical media but no longer has access to it which they run into difficulties.
The topic has certainly been discussed regarding making software more generally available. I will continue to raise the topic when I have the opportunity as well.

So no DVD was included with my purchase of Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard and I registered it with My Adobe. Previously I could download it from Adobe and i am unable to see any link to download Standard only the Pro version! Does anyone in Adobe have any clue on how this can be downloaded?

So that page has a USA phone number, issue is I'm in Australia, same number is presented on the AU site. When I attempt to use chat I am advised that this is not permitted for AA9 only for AA11. And the request a call back and schedule a call back are not available when I click on them. So how will I contact Adobe Support?

Ok so a speak to Vikas on that number and he advised me Adobe is unable to provide a download of any previous version and that the prodesigntools.com is in no way linked to Adobe? He checks with a senior staff member and still no change. Looks like I will need to shop for a new product so that I can edit PDF documents.

The links at prodesigntools.com redirect to Adobe servers. The software is infact located on Adobe servers, prodesigntools merely serves as a mirror to the downloads.
Acrobat 9 Std. is no longer available for download. You need to login to your Adobe account if it was an online purchase and then download from there.

This link seems to no longer be active. Is this the case or is there a way to get the download for Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.0 download. My computer went down so i switched machines, would like to transfer the license.
