Allow to choose resolution of generated images

Please add the option to choose the resolution of generated images. Currently, when I generate images using this application, I receive images with a fixed resolution. However, different use cases may require different image resolutions. For example, if I want to generate thumbnails or print-quality images, I may need different resolutions depending on my specific needs.

Team Firefly,

Please enable setting output resolution to 1920x1080 p for widescreen option in Firefly.

Currently the 16:9 widescreen output delivers a file size of 1792x1024 p.

Please help with this update ASAP.

Thanks,

Shashank

The results from the image generator are not high-res enough to be used in many scenarios (larger prints, books, etc). Either increase the default resolution or allow us to upscale the final option we're happy with after generating

Hello,
The images we produce with Adobe Firefly cannot be printed at 300 dpi, right? I couldn't achieve this. Can anyone do it?
While Adobe firefly produces images; If we had options for resolution, these images we produce would come out of our computer and decorate our walls.

I'd love to know if resolution limitation and compression is present in Adobe Firefly Premium. Is there currently any resolution or quality limitation with Adobe Firefly Premium?

Or do these problems only show in free version? I want to know before I pay.
The irony is that Firefly exports images to PNG which makes no sense. The output file weighs more, even though it's lower quality.

Hi @Bartosz30785603am9b ,

This is a statement from Adobe "We plan to offer higher-resolution images, animation, video, and 3D generative AI features in the future" from this link.

Hi,

Use Photoshop's upscaling features in the interim until Adobe gives more res options in Firefly.

Hi @leaderz ,

Please see my previous response.

For now, you can upscale in Photoshop using Image size with Preserve Details 2.0 enabled.

Hi @Einstein1996 ,

There's no difference between paid and free gen's atm.

It's merely the amount of credits you have, afaik.

Hi @Einstein1996 ,

If you are applying generative fill to an existing image from your own archive, you're better off doing it in Photoshop.

Res will be maintained.

Me suscribí a Premium y desde entonces las imágenes creadas se descargan en PNG de 4096x2730px pero en baja calidad (imágenes pixeladas). ¿Debo hacer alguna configuración adicional?

Hi @miguelaragon ,

What is the zoom value of the preview?

100% is recommended for determining the quality of an image.

Note that you will need to do an upsample to 300ppi if you plan to print, with resample off.

You will effectively be trading size for resolution without loss in quality.

Olá gente,

Eu fiz várias artes no Firefly (web) e gostaria de imprimi-las, mas os resultados são 75cm x 75cm com 72 dpi. Eu gostaria de saber se tem um jeito de gerar com mais resolução.

obrigada!

This really sucks ... I thought i am the only one with this bug. beacuse i get 1920x1097 px instead 1920x1080 - So i have to take my time for each image to fix it. Please Adobe ... Create correct 16:9 resolutions asap. and 2:1 would also be nice.

Thanks

I am a digital scrapbooking hobbyist and designer. The paper size for this profession and hobby are 3600 pixels X 3600 pixels (12 inches X 12 inches). Blowing up images from Firefly's current image size of 2048 px X 2048 px is out of the question since it distorts and blurs the image, rendering it unacceptable for digital scrapbooking quality control industry standards. Digital scrapbooking isn't the only industry that requires large image sizes... Many other crafting industries require even larger images than 3600 X 3600.

I love using Firefly, and have created many superb scrapbooking elements with it that I otherwise couldn't create. However, given the current end result image size of 2048px X 2048px, it is impossible to create scrapbooking papers. Therefore, I would like to strongly suggest larger image size options, pariticularly prior to using any prompts — that way the image will not end up blurring or distorting in any way.

With Firefly through the browser, you can only pick the aspect ratio to determine the pixel size  of your image (preset size for each option)/ The download alsways gives you one format.

If you want the to be able to generate and save an AI image in your preffered format and size, you would use Photoshop.

Um mit Firefly generierte Bilder auch für größere Printformate nutzen zu können wäre eine höhere Bildauflösung wünschenswert.

@marajade

Resizing an image from FF:
If you have PS, you could transform it into a Smart object. This would enable you to resize the image w/o losing the quality.
Change the canvas size to the desired size and fit the image to the canvas size.

Hope this helps.
