Howdy👋🏼

Currently there is some basic level of support for photoshop artboards in afx via a .psd file. However, AFX will import the psd and create a series of preComps, and a master 'overview' comp, as you would see all of your artboards within photoshop.

However, it fails to set the preComp sizes to the size of each artboard, and instead sets all of the preComps resolution, to what looks like the bounding box of all of the artboards as they are laid out within the container comp.  This then obviously requires a bunch of work, for what should work out of the box, bearing in mind that artboards were introduced in 2015....

Additionally, Illustrator now has artboards too.  However, there is no support whatsoever in afx for this.

As a part of this refresh, it would also be nice to be able to do the reverse.  I.E. have a project in AFX that has a container comp with nested preComps, with the ability to 'save frame as photoshop layers', and additionally (if the project is vector based with paths etc), have a 'save frame as illustrator layers', with both supporting artboard export for the preComps.

Thank you 🙏🏼

We definitely need more cross-app support like this.
