To the Photoshop Product Team,
I am writing as a dedicated professional user who invests in both the Creative Cloud All Apps Plan (or Photoshop Pro Plan) and a Google Gemini Pro subscription. I appreciate the integration of Google's advanced models (referred to as Nano Banana / Gemini 2.5) into Photoshop's Generative Fill feature, as this adds significant value to the Creative Cloud ecosystem.
However, the current credit consumption policy for advanced models like Nano Banana creates a frustrating double-payment scenario for dedicated Pro users like myself.
The Problem: Penalizing the Pro User
Double Cost: I pay Adobe for my Pro CC subscription, which grants me limited Premium Generative Credits (e.g., 4,000/month). I also pay Google for a Gemini Pro subscription, which grants me better access and usage of the core AI technology.
Wasted Workflow: When using Nano Banana within Photoshop, each generation consumes a high number of my limited Adobe credits (e.g., 10 credits). If the result is not perfect (a common occurrence in the experimental AI phase), I am forced to interrupt my workflow, go to the external Gemini platform (where my usage is already paid for/unlimited), refine the image there, and then import it back into Photoshop.
The Inconsistency: The current model actively discourages me from using the superior tool (Nano Banana) inside the application where I need it the most, due to the high consumption of my Adobe credits.
The Proposed Solution: A Cross-Platform Value Alliance
I propose an alliance feature that recognizes my investment in both platforms:
Implement an option to securely link a user's active Google Gemini Pro subscription to their Adobe Creative Cloud account.
Upon successful linkage, the policy for using Nano Banana within Photoshop should be adjusted:
Option A (Reduced Consumption): Reduce the Generative Credit cost for Nano Banana usage by 50% (e.g., from 10 credits to 5 credits per generation).
Option B (Credit Bonus): Grant a monthly bonus or doubling of the base Premium Generative Credits (e.g., from 4,000 to 8,000 credits) to verified Gemini Pro subscribers.
This solution is a simple business logic adjustment. It provides tangible value to Gemini Pro users, incentivizes the use of the most advanced features within Photoshop, and strengthens the strategic partnership between Adobe and Google without eliminating the credit system entirely.
Thank you for considering a change that will significantly improve the workflow and perceived value for your most committed customers.
