Premiere Pro does not properly support CinemaDNG media. For starters, not all versions can be imported, specifically the media coming from the Blackmagic Ursa cameras.

But even for the versions that can be imported, support for the format is still lacking to the point of unusability.

The Media Browser will not see all the clips at the same time. We're forced to go into every individual clip folder for import duties. This is untenable.

The RAW controls available are limited to Temp, Tint and Exposure. The controls that are possible and must be implemented are:

White Balance
Color Space
Gamma
ISO
Color Temp
Tint
Exposure
Sharpness
Highlights
Shadows
Color Boost
Saturation
Midtone Detail
Lift
Gain
Contrast

Finally, because we do not have access to the Color Space or Gamma, the footage comes in with a preset "LUT" applied, making the original Log footage unusable.

I got tired of waiting for this and created the solution.

I’ve helped build an Adobe Premiere Pro plugin solution to this problem: OCTOPUS RAW Studio - we’ve developed our own CinemaDNG & ProRes RAW decoder and RAW pipeline processor which exposes pretty much every RAW control you can think of and more.

Please work on this, or we will all be forced to move over to da Vinci

I'm seeing comments from almost 3 years ago. They don't care.
The ONLY reason I signed up for this was from a class I'm taking.
No reason to be here then.

How does an Adobe video application NOT support a raw standard that Adobe itself created years ago?

It's like if Apple iPhones weren't compatible with iTunes.

It's not possible to use cDNG footage from the Sigma fp in Premiere CC. I use Davinci Resolve where it works seamlessly.

Come on, Adobe!

Please fix this. I'm having to install Davinci Resolve just to do one F*%king timelapse, turns out it's not a bad NLE.

Either improve DNG or just support raw files from all major mirrorless camera brands. (I use Fuji).

Premiere "Pro" needs to support this professional media. I may have to switch to Davinci if I get the Sigma FP.

Yes we need support for this. Premiere "Pro" doesn't support "Pro" media.

Yes! 3 years after its introduction still no support for it.
