3D rendering won't render

Explorer ,
Apr 10, 2020 Apr 10, 2020

I just upgraded to a new iMac, with a 3.6 Ghz 8-core Intel Core i9 processor, 32 GB of memory, and a Radeon Pro 580X 8 GB graphics. Much more than my previous iMac. I used Illustrator to create many 3D objects. Now, nothing works. When trying to render a model, everything freezes. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Can we perhaps get some details of what exactly is in your files and when exactly Illustrator freezes? Also: Which system, which version?

I am using the latest version of Illustrator, and the latest version of the Mac OS. What is in the files? Just trying to do a simple revolve and render.

LATEST

Please give us version numbers. You wouldn't be the first person whoc thinks they are on the latest version while in fact they are not.

Also: please define "simple".

Is the dictation service on the Mac turned off? If not, please turn it off.

Does it get better when you turn off GPU acceleration in Illustrator preferences?
