I'm trying to activate Oswald in illustrator and when I click find more fonts > search oswald > activate font, nothing happens, it wont install into my font library.
Why wont it install properly?
I haven't used Typekit, so I think it was the latter one.
(image below. The red Korean message literally means "the font is not activated after clicking the button.").
However, I've just resolved this by starting up "Adobe Creative Cloud" program.
I excluded it from auto start up programs list of Windows, as it takes much RAM and I didn't know it does download font.

What kind of font is it?
You installed it correctly in your system?
Do you use font management?
Which system?
Which version of Illustrator?

I searched Adobe Fonts (previously know as Typekit Fonts) and see that the Oswald family of fonts is available. Do you have a Creative Cloud subscription? Are you logged into your subscription? If so, Illustrator should be able to find and activate Oswald. I’m not sure why it’s not working, but you can go here Oswald | Adobe Fonts and manually sync the font if you are logged into your CC account.

Today I experienced same problem, except that the font is different.
My condition is:
* Windows 10 latest version, which is just installed (clean installation after formatting disk) a few days ago.
* No other programs except firefox is installed
* Latest CC version (of cource paid legal license and I signed in)

Are you talking about syncing fonts from Typekit or installing a font in your system directly?
In my experience Typekit fonts take ages to sync for some reason. Every time I add one I find myself logging in and out of CC just to check.

I'm using old terminology there. Typekit is now just called Adobe Fonts, and the cloud symbol indicates that that's what it is.
