Hi all
Is there a method for adding / importing colors from one of the .acb colorbook files or does one just have to read there file and add the color manually?
no, if you need colors from swatches, they must be loaded in the standard swatch panel.
another way would be to have a text file with a list of color information and recreate the color as needed.

Thanks for confirming.
Another way would be to automatically create a swatch pad in InDesign and then copy the swatches to an Illustrator template that could contain all the swatches and then one could access the swatches from there.
The disadvantages of this method are obvious.
The advantages are:
1) The color would be a real Pantone color and not a generated one. This can be detected although I don't know if it makes a difference.
2) As unbelievable as it is the mere creating of swatches by script especially by spot can still cause MRAP and PARM errors.
Carlos (or anybody) have you found an improvement with MRAP errors in 2019 or 2018?

Similar to the template idea, you can have all PANTONE colors in separate files and they can be placed into your document to generate real PANTONE colors with precision at any time.

I don't think I've noticed any changes regarding PARM errors, it's been pretty consistent throughout the years 😕
