Adjusting the Bounding Box

Hello! I've been wondering for a while how to adjust the text bounding box to the exact size of the text, without having to carefully do it yourself. It takes too long to make the bounding box exactly the right size by yourself. I'm wondering if there is a shortcut to this, or if there is a button that I have not discovered yet.

My goal is to adjust to the exact size of the text so that I can align the text to different elements on the artboard, without it counting the space within the box. I've been having to turn the text into shapes in order to perfectly align it. However, this is a problem because then you cannot edit the text after.

Please let me know if anyone knows a faster way to achieve this.

Double click that bottom widget thingy that pops out of the bounding box.

But you do not need it for aligning text. Just turn on Glyph snapping in the Align panel menu
