I have an adobe illustrator cs2, my computer crashed and I am trying to activate the program on my new computer, it is telling me I have two days to activate but the on line activation is not working. HELP!

CS2 + Acrobat 7 + Audition 3 (AND EARLIER) Activation Server is gone, so read below
http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.html
.
You MUST use the special version and serial number on the page, not your original disc or serial number

I have the same problem but now when I try to even find the cs2 to download, I keep getting the adobe homescreen. Am I missing something?

Use the link above. It took me to the page you need.

Yes but I once I get to the page, it tells me to log in, and choose a language... I never actually get to a link that contains the download files and serial numbers. I have checked from multiple browsers and computers.

Hello, I know this feed is old, but I'm hoping to get some help for the same issue, as my old computer finally crashed and I want to put my copy of Illustrator CS2 on my new computer but I can not activate it and I'm afraid the functions will stop if I can't activate it in 29 days. Please help. Thank You!

Did you download the registration-free version?
Your only very very slight chance to get it would be Customer Care, but I don't think they offer it.

And if you want to install it on a new computer with a new OS, could be this won't work also.

I ran into the same problem. My Windows 2000 machine (hard drive failed) and my full version of Adobe Creative Suite went with it. I replaced the hard drive reinstalled Windows 2000 and Adobe Creative Suite CS2 (which I still have with serial number) and now it won't allow me to contiue to use it without a phone number authorization code. My work around for now is to kill Windows 2000 and reinstall Adobe Creative Suite CS2 with Acrobat 7 every 30 days when its activation ends. Really bad for Adobe, cause I'm moving all my work over to non-Adobe software. This is suppose to be like a book...keep it forever until the pages fall out... Apparently not so with Adobe. Even Microsoft will allow continue use of their software as old as it is.
Hope this helps those like me that still use the old versions. P.S. the Windows 2000 machine is not internet connected ...eliminates any virus stuff.. Also it is a Pentium machine not the new fangled computers that are using Ex-NTFS and 64-Bit technology.

For quite a couple of years after the registration servers had been retired you could download a special installer and a corresponding serial number that made exactly this possible.

There is no longer any authorization code server. Adobe just turned it off, because apparently they just can. And they provided a replacement, then decided to stop, because apparently they just can.
"Really bad for Adobe, cause I'm moving all my work over to non-Adobe software. "
Really bad, because people who haven't upgraded in 15 years will stop buying?
(I do agree, it is pretty bad OF Adobe.)
