When I try to use Image Trace in Adobe Illustrator, I am given this unknown error. There are no codes or designations, and the popup link (More Info...) only takes me to troubleshooting about Illustrator crashes or freezes. Illustrator is currently Version 27.4. Image Trace is highy needed for an upcoming project, so any solutions as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated.

You can always install 26.5.3 if the current version is not working for you (after trying things like restart, reset prefs...)

Hi @TheOneAndOnlyAG,
I understand that you are facing issues with Image Trace in Adobe Illustrator, even after testing with a different extension. Several users have reported this, and we are currently investigating the issue.
Please share the images in which you are getting this error with me so I can check, and I will forward them to the product team for further investigation. Also, please confirm if you are on macOS Catalina.
Additionally, please update to v27.4.1 or v27.5, which is rolled out in a few countries, and see if that helps.
I will be looking forward to your response.
Best,
Anshul

Running OSX Catalina 10.15.7 and Illustrator 27.5.
This just started happening today out of the blue and now I can't run image trace on any image.

Hi @default53v15biltndl @aleksandrs40680370,
Thank you for reaching out and patience. I checked with the team, and after investigating this issue, our product team has identified that this error only occurs on macOS Catalina. A workaround for this issue is updating your operating system to a later version or using images larger than 400x400 pixels.
Additionally, they have hinted that the issue will be addressed in the upcoming release.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to help. Thank you for your understanding.
Best,
Anshul Saini
