Adobe Illustrator not showing bleed marks option.

I tried exporting with trim marks and it's taking me file from 50mmWx 40mmH to 73.3mmW x 63.3mmH when adding 3mm bleed.

I had to manually add the bleed marks for a print file today. Anyone have any fixes?

Using Adobe Illustrator Version 27.4

And Adobe PDF showing the below, after only adding 3mm bleed.

That's because the trim markls themselves are so large. The size increase is just the media size.

Do you really need trim marks? A print service that has a proper PDF workflow in place will not need them, because they can get the info from the file and use that to create their own marks in their software.
