AI converts text to outline when copying to new another document

Lately it hapens, that AI converts regular text to outlines when copy-pasting it to another document.
if I drag it to a new document it doesnt change. I've had a similar problem with text on paths for quiete some time, but this is new. Drives me mad and makes AI unusable.

SOLVED! It was a clipboard app called "Paste" that ruined it.

I am having the same issue and do not have any awareness of a "clipboard app". How do I tell if this is the problem?

You could search for the name. But that particular app is not the only suspect. Here are some more:
