Hi, this problem started happening to me today, I always work with linked files. And I use the "replace all" tool a lot, but today it simply disappeared, I would like to know if it is a setting that I changed.
My illustrator is in Portuguese, I tested it in other languages and the problem persisted.
In the Archive "Imagem (2).png, It's a print from a friend of mine who has the same version of Illustrator, but it doesn't show the problem.

Hi, I did this, but as I work with this method for files with different names, it finds an error as if it were not possible to find because the name is different, I just don't understand why I can't (aplly all), as I have several linked files , I would like to replace all incidences of this link at the same time, just as it appears in my friend's Ai dialog box.

Hi, today i reinstalled Ai in a older version, more specifically 28.4.1 version. In this version, i can replace all instances of the same link. I think it's a bug of this new version.
The AI of my Friend today stop working, we use this on all projects, i hope this bug gets fixed.

Hello @Bruno Bergami37392737x4th,
Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind trying to click on Replace and then checking the box for "Search for Missing Links in this folder" when selecting the missing file to check if it helps?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Anubhav

Hello, thanks for the response, sorry for the delay in responding, I ended up not receiving notification of the response. I tried to do as I said, but unfortunately it didn't work, I keep having to go manually 1 by 1, and sometimes to make matters worse, the message starts to intersperse which link I need. I attached a file for demonstration, Link_1 and Link_2 have two incidences of each, that is, I need to manually link the same link twice, in version 28.4.1 this error did not occur, as "Apply all" appeared in the message box ", then illustrator replaced them all. I think this is an inconsistency of updates, and it impacts my work too much.
In the attached file, this is exactly the method I work with.
Thank you very much in advance

Note, I am unable to upload the files I created as a test, even though they are .ai, do you have an email address so I can send these files?

This forum (for reasons unknown) does not support attaching .ai files.
Try to save a pdf version (with AI edting checked) to attach it to a forum message.

I renamed the files so they matched the names of the missing links.
When opening the file I click replace.
Locate the missing link and when the checkbox Check for Missing Links in This Folder is checked, it finds the other link.

Hello, in short you were forced to change the name of the files, which becomes a problem in a file system. Illustrator made this "Update" and removed this feature. I found complaints in the illustrator uservoice. There are already third-party scripts correcting this error. I hope Adobe moves to correct this update.
I understand what you told me, but I can't keep changing the names, precisely because I used that check box to actually replace different files, it served as an intelligent replacement method.

I appreciate the help, but it seems to me that you won't be able to help me, unless you take this request as a point to be updated since this already existed previously, it's just implementing existing code.
thank you for your attention

Hi, yes, just to prove that the community is moving, I believed it was some kind of version bug. But recently in version 28.6 this inconsistency remains.
thank you

You did not mention that you wanted to relink to a different filename. That is not possible at this moment.

Okay, I was wrong when I gave this information, I contacted you here on the forum, because I thought it was a bug, but apparently it is a function that was removed with the updates. It's a shame you can't help me, but I appreciate it.
I hope it will be corrected in future updates, as it seriously impacts my work format.
Again thank you very much
