.aic file corrupted (2024)

I've been working on some illustrations in an .aic document. Saved it to the ACC so I could work on it at the office and at home.

I was working in one of such illustrations, Illustrator lagged, then told me it quit unexpectedly. But when I tried to open the file again, it pops a window that says:

"Document contains incompatible object(s)

This cloud document contains objects that are not compatible with the current Illustrator version.

To open this document, use the version which the document has been created."

The illustrations are made of flat shapes and strokes. The most complex one used the brush tool but nothing else. Not even gradients, it's as light and simple as it can be. I can perfectly see the preview but it can't open the file.

Trying to download the file gives an error (in the ACC app and on the browser as well). I tried updating Illustrator, nothing happens. Still the same error message. What can I do. My work is on the line.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
