Question

Anchor point to Curve by 2x clicking the anchor point?

Hi. Today I reinstalled Illustrator. Since my reinstallation I'm no longer able to double-click an anchor-point so that it converts itself into a curve. There is only the “Shift + C and drag“-way left. I would really love to get back the “double-click on anchor-point“-way.

In the video you can see how I do  the “Shift + C and drag-way“ (left shape) and then how I try to reach this result by double clicking the anchor point - but nothing happends...

Please help meee 😞 Thanks

You cannot do that with the Direct Selection tool, but you can double click a corner point with the Curvature tool to convert it into a smooth point (and vice versa).

You can also Alt (key) click to do the same.

were you able to convert corner to curve anchors by double-clicking before?

P.S. you don't have to post multiple times
