Annoying Grey Box S

I just noticed this grey box surrounding my grass. It's very annoying and it isn't a shape or path or anything like that. It's just there and you can't paint over it. Does anyone know how to get rid of it and what caused it?

Please select it.

Show the appearance panel

Show the contents of the layer it's on.

It's not on a layer nor is it selectable. It's just there. Even when I move the shape the box stays there.

When did it appear? When you opened the file?

After changing viewing mode?

Is it the same size when you open other files?

Do you have plugins installed?

Select The Green shape under this shape.
As Monika Gause​ said, Select the original shape, you will find that it has a n effect for its Fill. or Remove the stroke.

Is it an extra Artboard?

Window > Artboards
