Art board keeps switching to landscape

I've never come across this issue before. When clicking on an art board that is 1080x1920, the art board switches to landscape. This isn't specific to this project. Happens with new documents as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I have the same issue and it is making my work flow so bad. I have to open and close at least 50 files a day. I have never have this issue before. Every time I open a file saved in landscape and swtich. Some of my file's artboard move to a different placment.

I have the same issue. I don't even need to be on the artboard and it will change orientation. Incredibly frustrating!

Greetings,

I'm currently using Illustrator version 28.3, and since its recent update, I've encountered a rather frustrating issue. Whenever I create a document with a vertical orientation artboard, the orientation spontaneously changes to landscape while I'm working. This alteration persists, repeatedly reverting to the landscape. Additionally, when I attempt to export the file to PNG format, the preview is no longer displayed, showing only a white box instead.

Despite uninstalling and reinstalling the application, the problems persist. (screenshot attached)
For your information, I'm using an Apple M2 Pro MacBook.
