I was able to complete this on one image but when I saved and went back to this project again to complete it with another image, it wont work. The image still has a harsh edge compared to flawlessly disapearing. I did all the same steps and I looked at each of the settings and I can't solve this problem.

Can you show what settings/steps you have done?

How is the transparency being applied to the image? Is it being done via another object being used as a mask? Either way the zero opacity level in the transparency gradient is falling outside the left edge of the image. That gradient stop has to be moved within the left edge of the image for there to be a smooth fall off to complete transparency.

I didn't watch the entire video in details, but I noticed the white gradient stop specifically said 10%, not 0 (time: 3:33).
[Personally, I would do it in Photoshop]

I don't know what clicking I had done, but I fixed it haha.
I am using it for handouts which is why I went with Illustrator. Thank you

Is it an RGB document? Can you check your black stop in the gradient?
