Asset Export doesn't work consistently

I'm trying to export a PNG of various versions of a logo through the Asset Export panel (see image below). I checked, and there are no hidden guides in the selection. When I try to export a PNG 8, most of the time, it doesn't work even though Illustrator displays a success message (see image below). I had to repeat the process several times before one of the files finally exported something (see image below). I've reset preferences and the problem still persists.

Any ideas would be welcomed?

Hello @DrewParagon,

Would you mind confirming the version of Illustrator installed and sharing a link to a sample file here after uploading it to a file-sharing service, so I can better assist you?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Sure, it's Illustrator v29.1 (64bit).

Of course, now that I've prepped it to send to you, the Asset Export seems to be working now. My issue is that it's not reliable. I had to just press+repeat several times before anything happened.

I've still uploaded it below in case you want to test it out, but like I said it's started working now on my system after several attempts.

Hi @DrewParagon

Sorry for the delayed response. I checked your file at my end but couldn't reproduce the issue. Just to confirm, are you exporting the assets to a shared folder? Have you tried changing the folder location to Desktop or another folder on the local drive?

Regards,

Srishti

Hi Srishti,
yes, I’ve tried exporting to different folders before and that didn’t help.
I’ll just have to wait until my copy of Illustrator acts up again and maybe then I can send over that file for you to inspect.

Thanks for trying.
