I'm extremely disappointed with Illustrator 2019. I've lost so many projects from random crashes. I used to love Adobe for the fact that the products were so strong and reliable. But this Illustrator 2019 build is so terrible. I truly thought it was just my system and I was ready to buy a new MacBook Pro, but it's clearly not a problem on my end. Adobe, you're too big (and expensive) to put out "buggy" products. Please get it together. Sorry to sound salty, but I'm pretty pissed. I just lost an hour of work; I guess I have to go back to the early 2000's where I have to save every 5 minutes....

If you want help via the forum, please create a new thread and tell us:
- your system
- hardware specs and peripherals
- is a printer connected and turned on?
- are all fonts checked and OK?
- third party plugins? And are they all compatible with Illustrator and your system?
- what's in your files?
- is anything located on a server? the file or any linked content?
Does it work better when you create a new user account (Admin) on that machine and launch from that one?
Just for the record: not saving for a full hour has always been and will always be a bad idea, because a simple power outage, battery or system failure can ruin your work.
For me Illustrator CC2019 is running just fine without crashes on my old 2014 Macbook with old trusty Sierra on it. So your issues are possibly individual and need to be figured out in a one on one session by support.

Yeah the new Illustrator is sooo stupid. It keeps moving all the tools around in the tool box so now you spend 2 mins trying to find which tool you need ..or just learn the command letter for each one !!! Infuriating !!
Just stop meddling with the program
...Now it's crashing too. Seriously irritated

Please follow the other thread. The January 9 crashes look like a different issue than this thread and you will get specific updates over there

Mine is too. It acts like it is out of memory. I just spent a ton of money doubling my memory and the issues remain. I've seen people complaining about this version all over the internet. I'm about ready to go back a version but I have so many custom shortcuts, workspaces, etc that I haven't taken the time to do it yet.

I am having the same issue today. It didn't even last more than 2 seconds. Every time when I tried to open AI. It crushed immediately. I am very disappointed! They should feel shame about it. Reinstall the 2017 version now, hope it won't crush.
