Bullet Points Converted to Outlines Vanishing

First of all the bullet points in Illustrator are so poorly implemented that they make my eyes itch.
But today's problem involves what happened when text boxes that are using bullet points when converted to outlines, they vanish. That's right when converting text that is using bullet points to outlines the bullet points disappear. However, when using "Flatten Transparency" they remain.
I hope there is a fix in the works because this is disrupting my workflow.

Thanks,

The bullets can be converted to text in the recent version. using the bullet submenu in the Type menu. Can be included in an action if that is what you need to do.

Bullets getting lost when outlining text is how this works in InDesign as well, so the fact should be common among publishers.

First you have to convert bullets to text.

Type>Bullets and Numbering>Convert to Text

then you can Create Outlines (Shift+Ctrl+O) all of the text, bullet points stay the way it should from the beginning.

Are you sure you are on the latest version?

Also: Use Object > Flatten transparency instead and check "Outline text"
