Hello: I have been using Illustrator for MANY YEARS. I am Currently using Adobe Illustrator CS3. I use it mostly for Creating Graphic designs. It has been wonderful.
Today, I tried to print.....but I couldn't. The computer I use it on upstairs (I have two floor towers, one upstairs, and one down here in the basement) has a program task bar at the bottom. When I tried to use the PRINT COMMAND, it did display, but it was BEHIND the program task bar, and I could not select it. Every time I tried to move the window up, to reveal the PRINT button, it immediately went back down. There was also no "X" in the upper right-hand corner of that window, so I could not close it. I had to WARM BOOT the whole machine, in order to get my machine back. I NEED TO PRINT FROM THAT MACHINE. The PC in the basement has NO PRINTER hooked to it, As I mentioned earlier, the PRINT command is UNSELECTABLE, because it appears behind the program task bar at the bottom.
It seems to me, that a responsible coder would put the PRINT command button, in the middle of that screen, below where you select which printer you want to use.
It also seems to me, that a responsible coder would put an "X" in the upper right-hand corner of the window, so it could be cancelled in that manner.
My Question is HOW DO I PRINT, with the setup I have? I don't print that often from Illustrator. But I need to be able to print when I have to.
PLEASE HELP.
Thank you,
Carl S.

Which system is that?
Did it ever work?

It is a HP, using WIN10. I never tired to print from AI with it before.

Illustrator CS3 is not (fully) compatible with Windows 10.
That means anything might happen. With each Windows update it might get better or worse.
Unfortunately on the forums we haven't seen that problem before. It might be related to the way the printer is connected or to an incompatibility with CS3 and Win 10.
Can you save a PDF and then print from Acrobat? Does that work?

Move the task bar to another edge of the screen?
