HELP! I'm so frustrated. I've used the outline option on the trace image panel, and it has created an outline with light blue color. No matter what I do, expand, ungroup, I cannot make this outline into an artwork that I can put back into photoshop and edit. I can't even change the color of the stroke. When I open the file in photoshop or save it, it shows up as a blank file. When I click rasterize it just disappears! What do I do?

It sounds like it's a path with no Stroke color or weight. You say you tried "Expand," but do you mean Object > Expand or Object > Image Trace > Expand? You'll need latter.

Such a simple fix. Thank you so much. I didn't even realize there was two different options so similar.

I was having the same problem too! Thanks for clarifying that there are multiple ways to Expand! My problem now is that once I Image Trace>Expand it brings back the original image, but I just want the outline. How can I get just the outline, not with the image.

So this is a question? Please post your source image and the result as of now. ALso it would be helpful if you could create a new thread.
