Very recently, my Adobe Illustrator automatically got updated to the latest version [2024] for the Window version. After opening the software, I noticed that there is "No preview availabe" displaying when I am selecting a file inside Adobe Illustrator. This has become very difficult! I have to open each file to view the one which need to work upon! Please help me in this regard.. Thanks!
Hi @Hozaifa taher320448688547 and @intelligent_fun16B7,
I understand that you are both facing issues with the file preview in Adobe Illustrator 2024 on Windows.
Please confirm if this was working for the same file in v27.9.
If you could share sample files for which the previews are not showing, it would be helpful to investigate further and identify any possible workarounds or solutions specific to your case.
I hope this information helps, and if you have any more questions or need furth

What kind of files are they? AI files? Did you save them with PDF compatibility?

Thanks for the reply..!
Yes, they are AI files, created in Adobe Illustrator, [I have attached a screeshot for your better understanding]. However, I am not sure if I have saved them with 'PDF compatibility'. Most probably, I have. Anyway, can you kindly guide me on this? That is to say, how to save with PDF compatibility.

Ok, thank you. So it's not the preview inside Illustraor's home screen or the like, but the preview on Windows Explorer? That cannot be solved by PDF compatibility. As far as I know (Mac User), you have to install Windows plugins to get a preview, because Windows (unline Mac OS) will not use the embedded PDF.

I have the same issue. I found my font management (Connect Fonts) when the plug in is activated and files are saved has caused this issue. When I turn it off I have to manually activate fonts but my previews are back for files saved with the plug in turned off. I contacted Extensis and they could find no solution to this either. On our Mac systems it's not a problem to view, but from a Windows system I can't preview their files either when they save the files with the plug in activated.
