Converting to curves (Text)

New Here ,
Mar 22, 2024 Mar 22, 2024

Hi guys,

This is an issue I've been facing with a few fonts for the past few months. When I convert live text to curves it breaks individual letters into overlapping shapes. This issue further hampers my work process and takes much longer to complete. I have attached an image to explain my problem better.Screenshot 2024-03-22 at 4.57.54 PM.png

Ideally after converting to curves, the text should look clean like the 'o' or the 's'. Again, this happens only with a few fonts. Not all of them. Hoping someone could help with this 🙂 Thank you in advance.

You could try to apply the Effect > Pathfinder > Add above the Characters in the Appearance panel.

When done with editing the text select: Object > Expand Appearance instead of Create Outlines.
