Create floor plan with pdf blueprint

I am searching for something VERY simple that will allow me to create walls, doors windows in a basic 2d plan. I just checked out the cadtools you recommended and it is WAY more than I need. do you happen to know of some instructions for drawing what I mentioned? I am still in the baby stages of learning illustrator but if I have an ideas of the best way to accomplish drawing walls that have fill color or hatching, the doors and windows that would be so helpful. thanks

You need to find out, how windows and doors have to look like and then just use the basic shape tools to draw that.
