Illustrator just suddenly decided to not respond to any keyboard shortcuts involving CTRL
- CTRL works on it's own
- Key bindings are set correctly
- Keyboard is set to the right language
- only Illustrator is affected
- Any version of Illustrator is affected
- There are no external plug-ins installed
- Resetting preferences does not solve the problem
- manually deleting the preferences does not work either.
Can you start in Safe Mode and see if the problem persists?
If it is working normally in Safe Mode then a 3rd Party app is hijacking the shortcuts.
If it's not the case then
Reinstalling rarely fixes everything - you can do a complete reinstall using the
Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
You'll need to shut them down one by one.

It seems the commands are getting hijacked, but only from illustrator.
It's fine after startup, but the error just suddenly appears after the PC is on for a while.
Is there any way to find out what process is at fault here?
