Cursor jumping/shaking Illustrator CC 2015

Need urgent help here.

My cursor keeps jumping/shaking when I hover over the artwork.

I've made a video of it: Jumping cursor

I've installed the latest update of Illustrator CC 2015. But it was the same on the 2014 version.
I'm on a Macbook Pro Retina 15'' and I'm using the Apple Magic mouse. (all drivers up to date)
No other devices/keyboards/etc plugged in.
It also appears when I'm using the Trackpad of the laptop and Bluetooth turned off.
I only have the driver of the wacom tablet installed but the tablet/wireless receiver is not plugged in.

It's very annoying and a fix would be cool.

Do you guys have any suggestions? Would be awesome!

Thanks, Daniel

Hi nzgecko,

Similar issue was reported and we found that it is due to an adware called Webcom. Please follow these steps to fix it:

1) Close all Adobe applications and confirm from task manager if all the applications and processes related to Adobe are closed.
2) Click notification area and check if there is any application like webcom, if yes please right click and exit.
3) Open programs and features from control panel and uninstall webcom adware from lavasoft.
4) Relaunch Illustrator and check.

Please feel free to revert if issue still persists.

Regards,

Om

Latest version of indesign and illustrator cc2017

I've got a similar problem. The selection tool flashes between the OS pointer and selection tool, as though it's confused about what state it should be in, moving has slowed right down, very annoying problem. I'm running a macbook pro retina, have tried turning off GPU, but makes no difference. The problem is effecting almost all tools on the tool palette, a few tools like zoom and handtool it isn't effecting.

The only way to temporary fix an issue ive found is just "kill -term" illustrator to shut it down completely and load out all its files. The bug will come back for sure, but it gives you some time to work without that digital madness. Works for me so far.

No, it's a known issue. It was caused, for me, by the latest windows 10 update. The only way to fix the problem is to start a live chat and let Adobe remote access your computer. They can patch it.

I'm on a mac. So it's not a windows issue for me.

I switched to a regular optic USB mouse and it seems to be okay now.

I tried going to system settings and adjusting the mouse... but it didn't fix it! Is it a touch mouse problem?

Can I respectfully ask what use the Official Adobe Forum is when problems like this, going back over six months, are totally ignored? Is it too much to expect my professional design programs behave like professional programs.

The 2015 Creative Suite upgrade has been extremely disappointing. If only I hadn't accidentally removed the prior installs, I'd happily revert back to an earlier version.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADOBE: can I please NOT have to suffer through a jumpy cursor all day long? Can anyone there even ACKNOWLEDGE they see the messages on this forum?

You can reinstall an earlier version. From the Gear icon in the CC app look for Previous versions and you can reinstall any version back to CS6.

Recently updated to Illustrator 2015.3 and it is unusable, Cannot access menus, dialog boxes, type anything. The jumpy mouse effect also affects any other open windows as well. So far it is only Illustrator. And none of the suggestions work. Turning off the GPU, adjusting the mouse.Photoshop or other programs running or not running at the same time, NOTHING STOPS THIS. I'm on a Windows machine and from reading the comments, it doesn't seem to matter what computer/mouse/screen combination you have, it is a BIG PROBLEM. ADOBE ARE YOU LISTENING?

If you don't want to experiment this problem anymore : go to system preferences -> Mouse -> double-click speed. Play a bit with the speed button, and that had solved this issue for me

This was driving me insane! Thank you for the help.  Adjusting the double-click speed on my mac fixed my issue.

I updated to El Capitan yesterday but it's still doing it. Then I found a comment on youtube that said the problem was fixed for them when they didn't have Photoshop running at the same time as Illustrator. I've just quite Photoshop and it seems to be working ok for the time being (not sure for how long though!). Not ideal when you need to use both applications but certainly a workaround for now. Annoying though when you pay so much each month!
