Custom Type treatment

Hello Everyone,

Can someone tell me if there is an easy way to modify a line of type so it looks like the attached? I tried retracing it but my skills are not that advanced. I also tried using a mesh but it still came out like crap.

Kinda of. The bigger problem is they want the P and the R to drop down past the bottom of the logo I created. I have attached another sample so you can see how the type looks against the logo... I don't likeit but need to show it in my concepts.
