Damages in my illustrator export to pdf

New Here ,
Apr 13, 2023 Apr 13, 2023

Hi!
I'm working with Adobe Illustrator 2023, and when i export my document to pdf and send that to other people he appear with bugs and unformatted... This doesn't happen with the other programs (indesign, photoshop...)

I already try rasterize, convert to curves, export to Smallest File Size and High Quality and I still have de same problem.

Some videos say to export to png or jpeg, however as it is a 4 page documente and not a isolate design i can't do that.

Do you have any suggestion? I work in a agency, so I need to send regullary illustrator files in pdf format.

Thank you in advance!

So they are viewing this in Microsoft Teams?

Other PDF readers than Acrobat have flaws.

Does it work in Acrobat?

Yes, I am sending by teams and email.  But even in Acrobat on other computers it shows up with glitches...
This only happens to me with illustrtor documents. When I export documents from indesign they don't appear with errors, even opening them on web platforms.

I don't see the glitches in your screenshots. Can you embed those screenshots in your post and point to the glitches?

Of course, I'll leave here some examples.

These aren't even the most visible, but unfortunately my supervisor didn´t take any more screenshots.

HI @Márcia22359519zn1z,

Thank you for reaching out about the issues you're facing with exporting your Adobe Illustrator document to PDF. It can be frustrating when the exported PDF appears with deformities and is unformatted.

You mentioned that you have tried rasterizing, converting to curves, and exporting to different file sizes and quality settings, but the problem persists. Exporting to PNG or JPEG may not be a feasible solution for you since you have a multi-page document.

One possible suggestion is to convert your text to outlines.

Additionally, you may want to try exporting to PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4 formats, which are specifically designed for professional printing and can help ensure that your exported PDF retains its formatting and appearance on other devices.

If the issue persists, it may be helpful if you could share a package Illustrator file with me via DM and share screenshots of your PDF export settings, as well as the version of Adobe Illustrator you're using, to better diagnose the problem.

I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Best,

Anshul
