Debug Assert Failed

Every time I go to File > Save As I receive a 'Debug Assert Failed' pop up. It says the following, and then quits the app unless I click 'Debug'.

Thank you for your reponse.  Our admin console was able to create a case and worked with an Adobe team member. Yes, I am using the Beta version.  After switching to the regular version, the error stopped popping up.

- Close All Adobe applications

- Remove all currently installed Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages (https://adobe.ly/3vEiSxu)

- Reinstall the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (https://adobe.ly/3POA2zj)

- Restart your computer

- Relaunch Illustrator

If the problem persists, kindly share more details, like the exact version of the OS/Illustrator, the folder location where you're trying to save your work, whether Illustrator behaves this way with all files, and a screen recording of the problem (https://adobe.ly/3U5Hjx5), so we can investigate this further.

Hi Anubhav,

 

Thank you for the reply.  I tried to remove and reinstall the latest Visual C++ redistributable, restarted and relaunched, but it still not solves the problem.  Since my company has an enterprise plan, I cannot even talk to an Adobe tech support on this.  Our account admin couldn't resolve the issue.  is there any way to work directly with an Adobe tech support?

I'm sorry to hear that reinstalling the Visual C++ redistributable didn't resolve the issue. This "Debug Assert Failed" error often occurs with beta versions of our software.

 

Could you please confirm which version of Illustrator you're using? This will help us narrow down the cause of the problem.
