Is there a way to select multiple anchor points in a shape, delete them and have the shape remains closed?
I know I can use the delete anchor point tool, but this can only be used on one anchor point at a time.
Using the lasso tool, direct selection tool, you can select multiple anchor points and delete, but it breaks shapes.

In the control bar or properties panel, you'll see a button to remove selected anchor points:

I don't see this 'anchors' option so can't simply delete points within a line without breaking the shape... Anyone know how I get this option up? I can't see anything in 'view'. I used to use the selection tool to marquee over unwanted points then delete them without pathways being deleted. What am I doing wrong here?

Can you show what you see in your control bar or properties panel when multiple anchors (but not an entire shape) are selected?
