I use Illustrator 28.3 on Mac Sonoma 14.3.1

I'm used to right-clicking a layer in the Layers Panel to duplicate it in Photoshop.

How do I dupe a layer in Illustrator?

Thanks...

Drag it over the Plus-Button in the Layers panel.

If it is not a layer, but an object, you can also just Alt-drag it on the artboard or copy-paste in front.
