Hi,
On screenshot document already has a name, it means it isn't new one?
Anyway, you can just close second window, do some changes in the document (create and then delete rectangle for example) and save it. Next time it must be opened with single window.

In case if it happens with new documents, I guess you just have to choose different document profile in 'New Document' dialog.
