Hello everyone,
We have seen multiple reports of a script error related to Photoshop and the following workarounds have fixed it for many users.
1) Uninstall (remove preferences) and Reinstall Photoshop
Disclaimer: Please note that renaming preferences folders will remove all the custom settings, and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also save a backup of the folders, the location of which is mentioned here.
2) Open the JSX file in a text editor, which is available at

This is due to a description error in "photoshop_v2025.jsx”.
However, this is a bit strange since no error message was displayed until In the past.
Left is "photoshop_v2025.jsx”, right is "photoshop_v2024.jsx”
There is no description that corresponds to

of 2025.

My 2025 shows
It looks like the Photoshop beta created this problem (I did not install that beta) and maybe the Photoshop 26.5.0 update today helped.

This folder ("/Library/application support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CC/Adobe Photoshop/") doesn't exist inside my library.
Many people saying that tried to reinstall photoshop but without any success.

Thanks @Ton Frederiks,
the workaround 1 deleted the errors. Your solution doesn't seem... it is! 8). Thank you 🙏
Solution
- Workaround 1:
- Uninstall Photoshop 26.5 (make sure to remove preferences).
- Reinstall Photoshop 26.5. This will install the correct “photoshop_v2025.jsx”.

Hi @Oscar5C13 this seems to be a problem introduced by the latest Photoshop Beta. Uninstalling it should fix. If not, search this forum for similar posts.

Do you have the Photoshop Beta installed, or just the general release?
It seems to be an error in a Photoshop script for Adobe Bridge integration that multiple apps need to read.

Actually solved it by REMOVING the PS Beta - since I have it installed. This was the root cause of the error. It works fine with me when I removed it.
This things should be PATCH through update.

Oh ok.. I just started recieving this error - out of the blue. It may also be affecting illustrators ability to create 3D images/resolves. Hope they have a solution.
