It was not the application that caused my problems! It was an update going on at my iMac!! That together with me working on 4-5 Adobe Cloud applications at the same time was too much for me (quite new) iMac.

Now it all works again 🙂

This seems to be related to some of the default graphic styles. Is the graphic styles panel open?

Hi Nille,

Sorry to hear about this issue. Monika is right, in some cases it was found that the issue is related to Graphic Styles panel. Closing the Graphic Styles fixes the issue temporarily.

I would request if you can share a few more details:

  • Try closing Graphic card panel and check if that helps.
  • OS and version of Illustrator
  • Where the files are saved (Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System /External HDD)?
  • If possible, please share a sample file where you get this error.
  • When did this started happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates or web extensions installed recently.

Regards,

Srishti
