So when I change from etc. blue to green it will add the following bad quality lines, what do I do to remove it and make it HD?

That's called banding. It will appear when a gradient is too long compared to the difference between colors.

Will this be printed?

In that case you can only solve it by either using diferent colors, a shorter gradient or by applying noise to your gradient.

side note: it has nothing to do with definition/resolution. it has to do with the amount of colours in 8-bit per channel RGB

How big is the actual artwork?  You could try creating a Blend instead of a Gradient.  What happens when you Export the file?  If it is for the desktop background, check existing ( System ) background files for their size, resolution and format.

As Monika said you've got a banding problem.

Add a small amount of black to your green color stop. A percent or 2. You won't be able to see it, but it should help.

When I am doing a fade from any color to black, I make a rich black out of the values of the color plus 100% Black. This tends to make the gradient look smoother
