I am trying to open a recent logo file where it shows but when I click on it I get the error message "File does not Exist" I did not move it and I created it. Anyone have an answer for this and where I can retrieve my logo? Thanks

In the Illustrator Home screen, if you hover over a file name, the location will be displayed.

Was it saved to a network or removable drive (it's recommended to save to your local hard drive)? There are some suggestions in the following Knowledge Base article if that's the case:

Thanks Myra, I bet I save them to my desktop and now they are lost. Is there a way to retrieve them?

@Steve 40 Great news you were able to find your file! I know the feeling when a file has been lost. I'd like to add a note to say that it's generally not a good idea to save important files to your desktop because they are not as protected. Try to always save files in a "My Documents" type file folder in a directory on your hard drive. While some people feel desktop saving is the same as saving a file anywhere on your computer, I disagree and don't think it's a best practice. Also, desktop files are not backed up unless you have set your system to include the desktop files. Saving too many files to your desktop can also slow down your overall performance. Shortcuts are great on the desktop because they can always be regenerated but important folders and files should not be kept there except for temporary use or access. I hope you will consider this!
