FILE SIZE REDUCE IN ILLUSTRATOR

How can i reduce file size in illustrator for printing purpose. if i am using high res image .tiff or .jpeg files (large size file)

please help me about this ?

I would recommend sending PDF files instead, you have a better control on the final file size and printing properties.

Can you explain why you have to send it as an Illustrator file?

Are you placing TIFFs in your AI file?

Or are you exporting your AI file to TIFF?

One way to reduce the file size is under Effect > Document Raster Settings... > Change resolution.

But it depends on what you are printing, where you are printing... how are you using it. Please provide some more details.

Unless you are using Raster Effects, the resolution of the Document Raster Settings does not change anything.

I agree with Eric.

Save a copy as PDF, there is a Compression option that allows you to downsample and compress your images.
