Hi. A colleague of mine opened up a working document in Adobe Illustrator CC2015 v 19.2.1 for MAC, and to his surprise, the fonts had all changed to Myriad Pro from our corporate font standard FS Albert Pro. This was not done intentionally. I myself have seen this happen with certain blocks of text but never the entire document. Any other experiences with this? And, anyone know why this happens?

Do you use font management?

Yes we do. We use Font Agent Pro.

Yes, we are requesting our IT consultant to do some troubleshooting, and that is possibly one of the things he will try. Thank you for the advice and response. Hopefully we can sort this out.

Myriad Pro is the default font for Illustrator. It will substitute for fonts that are supposed to be in the document if the intended fonts are not open on the computer's system. If you are using a font management utility like Suitcase or FontExplorer then check to see if the correct fonts are activated. Otherwise check in the appropriate locations on your system to see if the fonts are installed correctly.

You can tell if what I said in my first post is happening by enabling the "Highlight Substituted Fonts" option in the Type section of Illustrator's preferences as shown below:
Any fonts that are not open on the computer's system or through its font management utility will be highlighted in a sickly salmon color.

Thank you for the response and advice. We know that Myriad Pro is the default font and we use Font Agent Pro to manage our fonts. Since we basically use the same font for all of our documents, it is always ensured by our IT consultant that the fonts are in the correct location and are activated in Font Agent Pro, This was a random occurrence where an entire document's font changed to the default. We also have "Highlight Substitute Fonts" selected. But since Myriad Pro is activated as well, then it doesn't show up with the salmon colored highlighting. This typically happens if the font on the document is a different version of the one currently in my system, i.e. Frutiger font has an LT Com and an LT Std, and if someone creates a document with LT Com and I only have LT Std, it would highlight that text.
Based on the above, it seems very odd to me that this would occur on just one document.
