Font dropdown menu window is cut off/ not opening completely in illustrator CC

Hi,

I am having this issue with my dropdown menu for the fonts where it shows up enlarged and cut off. I have tried to uninstall Illustrator CC and install it again and I have tried to restart my computer, neither has worked. Can't seem to find any forums online that help fix it on CC (finding lots that have discussions on CS6 but the solutions don't work here or don't apply to this situation). I can access the font I want by typing the name of the font in the font field but if I don't know what font I want and just want to see all the fonts with the sample text then I can't do that.

FYI - my Illustrator is updated to the latest version. Attached is an image of what I see when clicking on the font dropdown menu.

Anybody else having this issue and have a fix for it? It is become quite frustrating to work like this. Please help!

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your experience. I would like to know if the steps suggested above by @gianvitulano worked for you? If not, I would request you to share a few more details like:

Exact OS and version of Illustrator
When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates, or web extensions installed recently.
Are you using an external monitor? What is the resolution of that monitor?
Did you use the CC Cleaner Tool to uninstall the app?

Also, you may try following the steps and let us know how it goes:

Rename the CEP folder to CEP.old from the following location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
If that doesn't help, rename the extensions folder to extensions.old from the following location:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\UXP

Additionally, many users have reported this similar issue.
