I have two documents, they should be the same (as 4x4 inch at 300ppi converts to1200x1200 pixels):
First, 4in x 4in as 300ppi
Second, 1200px x 1200px at 300ppi
But when I use a font at lets say 25pt
in the first file the font comes out a lot bigger
and in the second file the font comes out a lot smaller
Help me, what is the true 25pt here?
Resolution in Illustrator doesn't work like in Photoshop. At all.
So if you want to export this 1200x1200 into the exact same pixel dimesnions, your resolution needs to be 72 ppi. And that refers to the output resolution. The Illustrator file itself doesn't have a resolution.
