Giving outlined-text a new curved spine

New Here ,
Dec 23, 2019 Dec 23, 2019

Using pre-existing artwork, I am helping a client edit their logo and wordmark. See below screenshot. Trying to replace the spine of the text with the half circle line shown below.

My question is:

How do I wrap the text around the half-circle path so it wrap around the outside of the logo? I thought it would be done using BLEND > REPLACE SPINE but that option is grayed out.

Thx in advance

Use type on path, this is not a blend. When typing on the path, you can then pull the type either inside or outside of the line (on top or bottom) with the direct selection tool. Hope that helps.

"Effect"> "Warp" is possible, but it will be distorted.

To place them without distortion, place them one by one.

Because the arrangement is a perfect circle, it can be made relatively easy.
